About Me

Due to the Covid pandemic I will be conducting my practice via phone or video conference for the time-being

How I work
I believe having a non-judgmental space to talk about our emotional or psychological difficulties can help us better understand what is troubling us. Greater insight into our thoughts and feelings mean they can feel less of a burden and allow us to live a freer, happier life. Together we would explore your current and previous difficulties to try to understand how what is happening in your life now is affected by your past experiences, and how they are influencing your current thoughts, feelings and behaviours.

We would start by meeting for an initial 50 minute consultation to give us an opportunity to get to know each other a little and decide if the therapy I offer is likely to be of help to you. It may take two to three sessions to decide if we would like to start working together, but after these initial sessions there is no obligation for us to continue. If we decide to continue then we will agree a time and day for a regular 50 minute weekly session. I tend to work in a longer-term, open-ended style but can also work on a short-term, focussed basis.
