About Me

Due to the Covid pandemic I will be conducting my practice via phone or video conference for the time-being

How I work
I am an experienced counsellor and psychotherapist working on a one to one basis with adults in the City of London, WC1B and Buckhurst Hill, IG9. I believe having a non-judgmental space to talk about our emotional or psychological difficulties can help us better understand what is troubling us. Greater insight into our thoughts and feelings mean they can feel less of a burden and allow us to live a freer, happier life. Together we would explore your current and previous difficulties to try to understand how what is happening in your life now is affected by your past experiences, and how they are influencing your current thoughts, feelings and behaviours.

Alongside my individual work, I also have training in understanding organisational dynamics and have experience of working with families in a non-therapeutic setting. This experience can help us think about the wider context of your current situations and how the dynamics from family or work situations are contributing to your current difficulties.

I have a Masters is Psychodynamic Counselling & Psychotherapy and can provide the safe space for us to work together. We would start by meeting for an initial consultation to give us an opportunity to get to know each other a little and decide if the therapy I offer is likely to be of help to you. It may take two to three sessions to decide if we would like to start working together, but after these initial sessions there is no obligation for us to continue. If we decide to continue then we will agree a time and day for a regular weekly session. I tend to work in a longer-term, open-ended style but can also work on a more short-term, focussed basis.

Each session lasts for 50 minutes from the agreed start time.
